Our Values

Rescom Construction ValuesCharacter
Construction is what we do, day to day. But in reality, we’re in the people business. When we hire, we look for high-character people who are seeking personal and professional growth. We want all of our employees to reach their potential in life, as well as in their careers here at Rescom.

Integrity
We do what we say we’re going to do, no exceptions. That’s not a tagline; it’s who we are and how we want to run our business. Integrity and trust should be the foundation of every Rescom relationship.

Safety
Attention to detail begins with 24/7 commitment to safety … no exceptions. This starts with the onsite superintendent, but it’s so ingrained into the Rescom culture that it’s understood as THE first priority for everyone who steps onto the property. The very foundation of caring for anyone who walks onto our job sites is actively observing the work area and eliminating anything that could impact a safe environment.

Relationships
Each project can enhance or diminish a working relationship. It’s up to us to consistently go above and beyond expectations. We absolutely focus on leaving each project with a happy tenant, building owner, property manager, architect and subcontractors.

Family
Family is deeply important to us. Not just the idea of a Rescom family, but the actual families of those who work here. Having the right balance in life – striving to reach our potential as spouses and parents … growing in our spiritual lives – these are aspects of every Rescom employee that we want to actively encourage. We rarely accept a project that’s more than an hour’s drive from Greenville; it’s that important for our people to be home with their families at the end of the day.

Transparency
Transparency and fairness are critical aspects of our commitment to integrity. As we work through the estimating process and set out to execute the workplan, you never have to wonder about hidden mark-ups and questionable deals cut with subcontractors. We share actual estimates. Our fee is intentionally presented without any camouflage. Our subcontractors remain loyal to us because we treat them with complete respect at all times.

Communication
A Rescom job site often feels different. We try to create an environment that encourages respect for others within the building, as well as full concentration and active listening among our crews. How we communicate throughout the day is essential to a safe, efficient and highly productive job site.

Professionalism
A commitment to be our best drives us every day. To see the little things, go the extra mile and set a good example for everyone working on that project. Walk through a Rescom job site and you’ll see a safe, clean, and well-organized work area throughout the day. We stress maintaining a professional attitude and appearance, along with a deep sense of respect for people, property and even our tools.
